How To Choose the Right Portable Restrooms & Sanitation Equipment
Number of Users & Duration of Need
- For any portable restroom rental, estimate peak headcount and how long the units will be needed: events and busy job sites often require more capacity than expected
- Right-sizing up front improves the user experience and helps keep service frequency and sanitation under control
- Plan servicing based on duration and expected use during your porta potty rental, and include ADA and accessible units when required
Amenities, Site Application and Accessibility Standards
- Select the right level of comfort and compliance. For demanding construction job sites, sturdy standard units with hand sanitizer are typically sufficient
- For public events or elevated guest experiences, opt for amenities like flushing units, hand wash stations or even VIP restroom trailers to meet higher expectations
- Always include ADA-accessible units as required by regulations for all site applications and ensure proper placement for easy access
Site Location & Service Access
- Plan where units will sit and ensure service trucks can reach them without blocking traffic or damaging surfaces
- Good placement supports regular pumping and cleaning and reduces last-minute relocations or site conflicts
- Leave clear access for delivery and servicing, and consider placement for privacy, lighting, and drainage
